The other half will be granted to students who complete tutorial tasks prior to the tutorial.
These tasks will be initialed by your tutor at the beginning of the tutorial, and then returned to you.
We will have a go at a version of this activity in tutorials the week before it is due.
Assessment Item 3: Argument mapping quiz Weighting: 10% Duration: 30 minutes Learning Outcomes: 1, 2, 5 This assessment item will be composed of multiple-choice, mapping and short answer questions aimed at helping students to clarify arguments by identifying conclusions, premises, objections, and suppressed premises and objections.

If you want to do well in formal logic, then you must practise doing it.
The readings for the first part of the course are optional, but will often be quite helpful.
